Revenue Accounting Officer

Reports to: Chief Accountant / Finance Manager

Role Summary

The Revenue Accounting Officer is responsible for the accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of airline revenues in compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. This role ensures that all passenger, ancillary, charter, and interline revenues are properly captured, validated, and reported, supporting financial integrity and management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Record, reconcile, and validate all revenue streams, including passenger ticket sales, ancillary services, charter flights, and other operational revenues
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reconciliations between reservation systems, sales reports, and the accounting system
• Monitor ticket sales, refunds, exchanges, and no-show revenues to ensure accurate revenue recognition
• Reconcile cash, credit card, BSP/ARC, and other payment channels related to revenue
• Coordinate with Commercial, Sales, CRC/Call Center, and Operations teams to resolve revenue discrepancies
• Support interline and codeshare revenue accounting, when applicable
• Ensure compliance with company policies, aviation industry practices, and applicable accounting standards
• Prepare revenue reports, analysis, and supporting schedules for management and audits
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing related to revenue accounts
• Participate in system testing, revenue process improvements, and internal control enhancements

Qualifications & Skill

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Previous experience in accounting; airline or travel industry experience is a strong asset
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition and reconciliation processes
• Proficiency in accounting software and airline reservation systems (experience with systems such as Hitit, Amadeus, Sabre, etc. is a plus)
• High attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced operational environment
